The VingCard V3 generation carries more memory so a guest card can encode richer access rights than a compact generation allows. Extra on-card space lets the credential describe access to several common areas — pool, gym, spa, parking, or a specific elevator floor — alongside the room, and it accommodates more complex or longer-stay rights within the card's dated validity window. The security of a VingCard V3 guest card follows the credential tier it is issued on, not the amount of memory it carries. VingCard's legacy 13.56 MHz guest cards were memory cards with "no sector crypto" — no per-sector encrypted authentication — so their data was readable. The AES-secured generation VingCard adopted in May 2024 protects the guest key with 128-bit AES mutual authentication, a message authentication code (CMAC) on every command, and an encrypted radio channel, and it is certified to Common Criteria EAL3+.
